Edina White Oaks Neighborhood

The White Oaks Neighborhood of Edina was built up during the 1930’s and 1940’s, much like the Morningside Neighborhood to the north, the Arden Park Neighborhood to the south, and Edina Country Club District to the west. The name “White Oaks” derives from the substantial amount of old growth oak trees that line the meandering, storybook streets of the neighborhood. The tree canopy itself is a sight to behold, much like in Country Club and Arden Park. The housing stock consists of charming one-and-a-half story homes, mixed with classic two story homes, million dollar estate homes, and new construction multi-million dollar homes. It is the most delightful Edina neighborhood to take a walk or stroll in, as the tree canopy and wetlands found throughout the neighborhood are great companions. And Bridge Street is a very special dead-end street that allows for pedestrian access to the adjacent Country Club Neighborhood, a great way to cut through to Minnehaha Creek, or to Wooddale or Utley Parks.
