Living here has been a dream. This home has been the place of countless memories: birthday parties, family Christmas parties, graduations, business meetings, fundraisers, a rained-out block party, and many, many out-of-town guests. And, we hit the neighbor jackpot! This is as cohesive and friendly a neighborhood as you will find anywhere. When we were looking for a new home, one of us wanted “new and modern,” and the other “old world charm and character.” 3248 Dupont gave us the perfect blend of both, and the ability to make it our own. Updates we’ve made to the home since the purchase are many. In the kitchen, we designed and doubled the size of the kitchen island, and outfitted it with additional power outlets and a cubby for device charging (it’s the little things that matter). We added new high-end appliances, including new range with hood, two beverage drawers, and a microwave drawer. And we added new Carrara marble counter tops, subway tile, window treatments, Restoration Hardware drawer and cabinet pulls, and a brand new sink and faucets. In terms of closet upgrades, we added a brand new Master Suite walk-in closet system with motion-sensor lighting. We added a new organizer system in the office with an attached safe. We also added a new system in hallway closet. Throughout 3248 Dupont, we updated lighting, repainted, and added all new, custom window treatments. Outside, we added a new custom-designed deck with pergola that opens to the backyard, and that architecturally anchors the back of the home. We added new gardens and plants throughout, along with custom aluminum planters, to enhance the serenity of our backyard oasis. Lastly, we recently added a new Bryant Air Conditioner, 13 Seer High-Efficiency 5 Ton Unit, to cool the home on all three levels with ease. The home is unbelievably energy efficient, thanks to the investments the previous owner made in the new windows, furnace, insulation, and James Hardie siding. 3248 Dupont is quiet and safe and is loaded with a security system for monitoring your home from your phone, at ADT or on your computer.
