One of my most favorite South Minneapolis neighborhoods is East Harriet. Not only will you find authentic turn-of-the-century classic lake homes, with plenty of original features like built-in buffets and bookshelves, boxed beam ceilings, ornate wood trim and doors, and glass knobs and hardware, but you are blocks to the confluence of two wonderful bodies of water: Minnehaha Creek and Lake Harriet. 4832 Colfax is no exception. All of the original woodwork and built-ins are intact in pristine condition. And the lake and creek are just 3 blocks away, along with hours of outdoor enjoyment, such as running, biking, swimming, and concerts at the bandshell.
